The Building Site, B.C.

Before Construction!

Below: We had NO idea what was about to happen when this mighty "swanfeather" snow started, December 07. Biggest snowflakes I've ever seen. Below: This happened. Our metal firepit can do the talking. This was over about 3 hours. Lost power after about the 2nd frame.

Our neighbors say we won't likely see another storm like that here.

Below: Fast-forward to summer, 89 degrees! Slightly different angle across the same ground as the swanfeather snow shot.

Below: Before construction, looking west. The Olympics in the background have a good snowpack going. This surprising snow dusting came in late April. My Nissan looks like a little Hot Wheels toy.

Below: Super-fast forward, 8 months later! Same spot looking west, note the fringe of trees to the right.

Below: last but not least, Mount Olympus, crown of the Olympic Mountain Range, nearly 8,000 foot elevation.
I just took this shot out of the family room window of the new house. My knees were weak at the sight. My new totem and muse. Since I figured out how to use my camera properly, it's not too grainy. Oh, well, this is a sight not really meant to be captured with a camera. It's a very spiritual sight to see. Thank you to all the luck in the universe, for bringing us here.
