Skywatch Friday: Storms a-brewin'

October here in Western Washington means that the door closes firmly on the carefree days of Summer. Last year on October 1st, the weather changed dramatically here, and this year is the same thing. We have four real seasons here, unlike in CA where one kind of blends into the next.

I have learned that when the sky looks like a gunmetal-gray sheet, with fluffy white clouds in front of it - batten down the hatches! I wish I knew the technical terms for this sight.

And the forecast in our area is calling for rain and showers until May. Just kidding....

Thank you for reading my blog!!! For much more Skywatching, visit Skywatch Friday.

I think batton down the hatchs is techincal enough! Cool photos, I especially like the top one.

Nice pictures, we have rain too but it can change in only a few hours. Thanks for your visit.

Fantastic Pictures. I know I love storms, so I'm not sure whether to hope you were right or not about getting some :)

You have caught the very activity of those swooping clouds; calling in rain to make sure October has arrived. These are very beautiful pictures.

Did you notice the way the sky is literally keeping an eye on you in the second shot?
Wish you could send those lovely storm clouds to us. We so badly need rain.

Well, those may be storm clouds but they sure look beautiful! I don't think you are kidding about the weather though. It rained the whole time I was in Washington in January. We only got a peak at the sun once or twice! I hope you have a good rain coat and umbrella!
