ALSO ABOVE: The plastic-wrapped boxes are more IKEA parts, these are the drawers for the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. The big roll of bown paper is the "floor paper" that will be so much fun to use up after we are done. The big sheet of plywood at the right with the dots on it is underlayment for the bathroom floors, where we will be using sheet vinyl "linoleum".BELOW: The tall cardboard box is the laminate kitchen countertop!! It's an 8-foot section that will include the kitchen sink and go over the dishwasher. The smaller boxes in front of it are the bathroom vanity counters and two butcher-block short kitchen counters for either side of the stove. Speaking of the stove, it's there in a cardboard sheath, and next to it is the new shining fridge!! Hang in there, guys, we will get to you soon!!
BELOW: Total triumph in the master suite... The IKEA Tundra "Antique" laminate flooring went down quickly, thanks to Larry's hard work - and it looks great!! I love it with the "Churchill Hotel Ecru" wall paint and white doors! This flooring will wear like iron.
BELOW: This is not the best picture, but it shows the great color and look of this flooring. It's just exactly what I wanted in there. It will be easy to keep the dust down in there with my microfiber dust mop from Clean Solutions. This shot is looking into one of the master closets.
BELOW: Check out this cool headboard that my wonderful neighbor spotted for us at Waste Not Want Not in Port Townsend, WA. $35 bucks!
It's kind of 70's, which is OK since we both are into that - but it's not too groovy. It's all about the wood! I really like this headboard and I can't wait to use it!
