The hardy Digitalis Purpurea plant is very, very common in this area. All it seems to want is a little bit of dirt and presto, here it comes!
Soon it will be shoulder-high everywhere! What a treat for the eyes. In this earlier post from last year, you can see the big stands of it here, in all their glory at the peak of bloom.
