***Star Magnolia overload!!*** (Magnolia stellata)

While visiting The Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island recently (which is about an hour from my place) I stopped in my tracks at the sight of these two gorgeous pampered Star mag trees!!

The light that afternoon was of the gentle, milky, partly-cloudy morning variety, which really helps when taking pictures of white subjects.

These blossoms are like pearls to me, so soft and luminous.

Many of the flowers on these little trees were browning off, but I spotted these at their zenith for the pictures.
Some new buds still coming too!

I love, love, love Star Magnolia. One of my favorites! Wonderful soft sweet fragrance too.

See you next year, Star Mag!!

I love Magnolia stellata, and those trees are really beautiful. Such an understated, but elegant flower.
