"Anthuriums are herbaceous epiphytes, native to tropical America. Also known as Painted Tongue, Flamingo Flower (Flamingo Lily) or Tail Flower." - The Flower Expert
"The anthurium flower is in fact the spathe of the plant. In the middle of the spathe is an upright organ called the spandix. The flowers actually grow on the spandix, the fleshy column crowded with many unisexual flowers. ." - The Flower Expert
ABOVE: My camera was struggling with the bright, super-saturated lipstick red of this plant.
Glossy green heart-shaped Anthurium foliage was everywhere, set off by oversized Vietnamese glazed pots.
ABOVE and BELOW: This was an amazing display. The glowing terra-cotta blood red of the flowers and a huge gorgeous glazed pot, with white Caladium foliage in the back. It was a jaw-dropping experience to see this stuff!
