Some favorite shots from late summer/early fall

The sunflowers this year were amazing. Will definitely grow them again next year! We dried the seed heads (the center of the flower) of the large variety and the birds enjoyed them later.

Below: Himalayan Breadseed "Blue" Poppy. What a majestic flower! Easy to grow.

Below: Perennial flowers grown in the co-cop veggie garden, now ready to add to my landscaping at home! My garden partners are really great about planting a few rows of flowers, both to attract bees and to beef up landscaping around the house via transplanting. Shown below: Candytuft (pink) and lovely Delphinium (blue). Also there were Gazanias left (orange) but they are annual here. They bloomed so late in the season that they were still at it when we cleared out the garden, so I took them for replanting in order to enjoy their last ruddy tiger-eye blossoms.
