It was last fall when I bought it, and the foliage color was amazing It is again now as it starts to leaf out, showing it's feathery shapes.
Also known as Ural False spirea and just False spirea, Sorbaria sorbifolia is:
"It is not a shrub for small gardens. Nor is it for those who want compact shrubs which mind their manners. This shrub requires its own quarter." -- Dave's GardenOh dear. I have mine wedged into a small spot. Bet I'll be moving it.
BELOW: This is a gorgeous miniature variegated Azalea that was given to me by our friends Frank and Loren for housewarming. It's doing well and setting many buds. I bet it will bloom brightly again this year. The blossoms are electric fuchsia-pink!
